Ukraine's participation in international organizations

Ukraine is actively involved in all areas of UN activities , the most important of which is the maintenance of international peace and security and strengthening the rule of law in international relations , development of cooperation in solving problems of social , economic, humanitarian , human rights.

Ukraine attaches particular significance of the United Nations to maintain international peace and security, considering the participation in it as an important factor in its foreign policy. Since July 1992 Ukraine is an active contributor of troops to the operations and personnel of UN peacekeeping (PSO). As of March 2013 538 military Armed Forces and employees of the Ministry of Ukraine participate in 7-PSO UN in DRC, Cyprus, Kosovo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sudan and South Sudan. For this indicator, Ukraine ranks fifth among European countries.
Cooperation with UN disarmament focuses on strengthening international instruments and regimes in the field of arms control, nonproliferation , compliance regimes sanktsiynyh UN Security Council.
